Wild Earth Day

Enjoy Earth Day on April 22nd at The Wild Animal Sanctuary. Make sure to visit the El Porvenir tent to learn more about how we are partnering with rural Nicaraguan communities on clean water and sanitation projects. Bring the kids by to pump fresh clean water from our rope pump.

Visitors are invited to bring potted trees, shrubs, or plants to donate to the animals. Sanctuary staff will utilize whatever you donate to embellish one or more of the 60+ habitats that we currently have. The donations of natural plants aren't mandatory, but are greatly appreciated. Each person who brings a tree / plant will be granted free admission to the Sanctuary walkway.

Suggested Plants for Donation: Cottonwood Trees, Eastern Red Cedar (Evergreen), Lilac Bushes, Sand Cherries
