How You Can Help

El Porvenir’s Projects Are Simple, Yet Life Saving.
Make a Difference, Get Involved!

Join a work trip

Travel to Nicaragua and make your vacation really meaningful. El Porvenir invites you to share the life and work of a Nicaraguan village. We offer groups of 10-15 people the opportunity to work side-by-side with villagers on one of our water, sanitation, or reforestation projects.

Go on an Elderhostel work trip

If you are 55 years old or over, you can sign up for an Elderhostel Service Project trip. Please consult the Elderhostel catalog or website at www.elderhostel.org for costs and details.

Come with us on an educational tour

For those who want to know Nicaragua from the inside and see the projects first hand, El Porvenir invites you on an educational tour.

Make a donation

Whatever your giving capacity, you can really make a difference. Help us give a child clean water to drink - for the rest of his or her life! Make a donation today!

Volunteer

If you can volunteer some of your time and energy, we would love to put your skills to good use. Contact us at info@elporvenir.org about volunteer opportunities.

Spread the word

Tell other people about our work and our trips. We can send you some brochures and newsletters to pass along to friends who are interested in our projects. Rotary Clubs, churches, school classes, employee associations and other groups have adopted a village and raised funds to enable the village to have clean drinking water. We will provide information about the village, a description of the project, before and after photos, and for school children, drawings and notes from the school children of that village.

Represent us at alternative Christmas fairs

If your church or any church in your community has an alternative Christmas fair, consider representing us and offering El Porvenir gift cards and note cards.

Help us with our annual speaking tour

Every fall we spend several weeks traveling and speaking about our projects. We rely upon our supporters to make these tours successful. We need help setting up speaking engagements, getting local sponsorship and location, publicizing the talk, providing lodging and meals for our staff and following up with interested persons after the staff visit. We try to choose one or more new cities each year as well as returning to cities staff have visited in the past.
