E-GIVING

QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION (QCD) & REQUIRED MINIMUM DISTRIBUTION (RMD)
If you are 70½ years or older, you can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA. You can donate up to $108,000 per year directly to eligible charities. Not only will your gift make a difference in the lives of rural Nicaraguans, but by making a QCD directly to El Porvenir, the amount is not counted as taxable income.

If you're 73 or older and required to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), a gift to El Porvenir via your IRA can help you meet your RMD without the funds being included as taxable income for you.
Benefits:

No income taxes on the gift. When made directly from your IRA, the gift doesn't add to your taxable income, so you benefit even if you don't itemize your deductions.

Since the gift is not part of your income, it can reduce your annual income level, may lower your Medicare premiums, and may decrease the amount of Social Security subject to tax.
STOCKS/BONDS
Make an impact by donating appreciated securities, including stock, bonds, and mutual funds, directly to El Porvenir. You don't pay capital gains tax on donated securities when donating directly to El Porvenir. To make a gift of stock, please contact Jenna Saldana at 720-236-9158 or email her for our account information; then, contact your broker to set up a stock transfer.
CAR DONATION

BIRTHDAY GIFTING
Celebrate your birthday by letting your friends and family give a gift of "water" in your honor with a donation to El Porvenir. They can either make a donation through our donation portal and designate the gift to be made in your honor for your birthday. Or you can set up your very own GiveLively campaign where you can set the amounts and all of the gifts will be tied directly to you. Either way, you're celebrating another trip around the sun by changing lives in rural Nicaragua and that's an awesome gift to get.
MEMORIAL GIFT
Create a lasting legacy that will change lives well into the future by honoring or memorializing a friend or family member. We will work with you on wording for plaques or signs at wells, water systems, or tree plantations to honor or remember a special person.
