We are grateful to all of our donors! We are a transparent organization and will provide more detailed financial information upon request. We are an efficient nonprofit; 82 cents of every dollar you give goes directly to our program work in Nicaragua.
Women and children, on average, walk 3.7 miles daily for clean drinking water. You can change this by joining El Porvenir's fourth annual Walk for Water September 16-24, 2023 in support of clean water and safe sanitation in Nicaragua.
Goal: $20,000
Why: We walk so rural Nicaraguans don't have to!
Bonus: Every dollar raised during the Walk for Water is doubled as the walk is part of the $250,000 Challenge that runs August-September 2023. So that $20,000 goal will become $40,000 of sustainable clean water, safe sanitation, and healthy watersheds!
Join the Walk for Water by following the steps below:
Step 1:
Decide to join Team Nicaragua to accompany our Nicaraguan staff from afar. Commit to walking (or whatever your activity of choice is!) at least once between September 16-24, 2023.
A. Join Team Nicaragua by clicking the link on their team page that says "I Want To Fundraise For This" and follow the instructions to create an account or log into an existing account.
If you're a new user, make sure to upload a photo of yourself to your page, add a note that tells people why you're passionate about our cause, and set a goal to track your progress!
B. Don't want to set up your own page? Then navigate to the Team Nicaragua page and make an online gift to support the team.
Support Team Nicaragua by walking, running, biking, hiking, or paddling 3.7 miles in solidarity with them at least once between September 16-24, 2023.
Step 4:
Every dollar you raise positively impacts the life of someone in need of clean water!
